Connecting with the Ground Beneath You

  1. Lie down on the floor.
  2. Take a few breaths, slow and steady.
  3. Consider the ground beneath your body.
  4. Conceptualize how the ground is holding you up.
  5. The heaviness you feel is gently pulling you to, and holding you on the Earth.
  6. Focus your sense on the back of your lungs.
  7. Let yourself breathe into the back of your lungs.
  8. Imagine the earth is meeting you here.
  9. Then let the Earth breathe with you. Imagine the Earth is a giant lung breathing into your lungs.
  10. The Earth is kind, gentle, and taking her time to breathe with you and into you.
  11. Notice how you slow down, how you breathe.
  12. Notice how your mind slows.
  13. Track you experience.
