Play/Exploration: Boxed In

  • When you’re feeling stuck, feeling trapped or a lack of inward progress, how might that look?
  • Draw a box and inside illustrate the ways that you are feeling stuck or trapped
  • Then draw ways or solutions that can help get you out of the box


  1. What is inside the box?
  2. How long have I been dealing with the issue?
  3. How does it feel to be “boxed in”?
  4. What is it like to think “outside the box”?
  5. What are the pros and cons of the solutions generated “outside the box’?
  6. What can you do to get out of the box?
  7. What might challenge you as you move forward?
